Naomi Barling is newly appointed Creative Director of Ferocious Creative; a new way of looking long term at an artist’s visual arc - from image strategy to image development, art direction, styling and brand partnerships.
Launched in 2023, Ferocious Creative recognises music does not exist in a vacuum and a long-term approach to an artist’s visual is now all important career wise. Ferocious Creative intends to also be industry facing.
Naomi Barling says of the new venture:
For musicians to have cultural impact, they must build a world around them that their music sits in.
A unique point of view takes time and is all about understanding your brand value being key to you building an identity within the creative space.
To cement yourself as a tastemaker you have to approach each different facet of world building in a unique way.
How do you want to be perceived? How do you want the world to perceive you?
These are questions I often ask artists. I then simply say - OK, now let’s create that.
